Registration

At the 2011 Annual General Meeting the membership of Bruce Ski Club voted in favour of increasing membership fees. The main reason to increase the membership fees is to maintain the excellent grooming practices at Sawmill Trail. Our Piston Bully does a great job, but a replacement might cost $250,000. Our club must add to its Capital Fund every year to prepare for necessary capital purchases with the Piston Bully being the major item. We also need a powerful and reliable snowmobile to groom the trails in the early season before we can use the Piston Bully and throughout the season depending on weather and grooming requirements. Therefore we purchased a new Skandic in July 2011 for the Sawmill Trail. (Sawmill's former skandic will replace the ancient machine at Colpoy's.) In our last survey, the members told us clearly that they prefer to pay through membership fees, not fund raising activities, but we will gladly accept donations to the Capital Fund at any time.

Over the next year the club's executive committee will incorporate capital depreciation into our Quick Books accounting system. At the next AGM our treasurer will present a financial statement including depreciation and projected replacement of capital assets. I encourage every member to attend the AGM on 19 April 2012, 7:30 pm at Sawmill Trail.

Annual Seasonal Membership:

Individual: $50 until 15 November 2011. $65 after 15 November 2011

Family: $120 until 15 November 2011. $140 after 15 November 2011

Jackrabbits: $40 per child subject to availability of spaces

Family is defined as two adults and two children. There is a $10 charge for each additional child..

Day Passes

You may pay at Cash Boxes located at Trail Heads. You must sign a waiver or you are trespassing! Our day pass rates have not changed:

$5.00 per Adult

$3.00 per Child

Day Passes are available at the trail heads, Suntrail Source for Adventure, Hepworth, Spirit Rock Motel,Wiarton Cedarholme Cottages, Hope Bay, Red Bay Lodge, Red Bay and Bikeface Cycling XC Ski and Winter Gear, Owen Sound.
